Homebuyers seeking a maintenance-provided lifestyle home in a single-family home community may want to consider Ashford Villas at 144th Street and Quivira Road in Olathe. This quiet enclave of only 31 home sites is just minutes from shops, services, restaurants and recreational opportunities.
Jaimie Macoubrie, who markets the community for The Aspen Group of Kansas City, Reece & Nichols Realtors, said 15 home sites remain or buyers may select an inventory home from one of the community’s builders, Lambie Custom Homes, Tabernacle Homes and KC Builders & Design.
The model home, built by Lambie Custom Homes, is available for $350,000. This reverse 1 1/2 -story floor plan has four bedrooms and three bathrooms with two living areas, including one in the finished lower level with a wet bar. This spacious home has 2,650 square feet of living space.
Tabernacle Homes has a 2,840 square foot reverse 1 1/2 -story home available for $425,000. It has three bedrooms and 2 1/2 bathrooms, as well as three living areas, one on the main level and two on the lower level with a bar area.
“This home has some really unique detailing,” Macoubrie said. “It has African mahogany cabinets and woodwork on the ceiling of the kitchen and master bedroom. It also has a huge covered deck.”
Lambie Custom Homes has an additional home under construction that will be available in about 60 days.
Macoubrie said all homes have the features buyers expect for homes in this price range, including granite countertops, hardwood floors, wrought-iron stair spindles and oversize showers. The exteriors are stucco and stone with tile roofs.
The reverse 1 1/2 -story floor plans emphasize main-level living in an open design and plans can be customized to fit the buyers’ lifestyles.
Provided maintenance includes lawn care and snow removal.
Ashford Villas is minutes from the KU Edwards Campus and Johnson County Community College, where the Carlson Center is home to a variety of concerts and live theater performances. Other popular attractions nearby are several golf courses, the Johnson County Soccer Complex and Deanna Rose Children’s Farmstead.
The community is in the Blue Valley School District and the district’s recreational complex is minutes away. Access to Interstate 35 and U.S. 69 also is within a short drive.
“This is a fabulous location,” Macoubrie said. “You are literally five minutes from everything.”
She added that homes of this quality are difficult to find at this price in Johnson County. In addition to the community builders, buyers may bring their own builder, subject to developer approval.
