Home sales in Leavenworth and Lake Wenatchee continued to chug along in the 4th quarter of 2011 and I dont think anyone was particularly surprised with the results.
All in all, 2011 looked a lot like 2010.

Members of the Greater Louisville Association of Realtors sold 5,207 houses in the first half of 2011, a 16 percent decrease from the second quarter of 2010.
The number of homes for sale continued to grow, with 9,313 homes listed for sale as of June 30, a nearly 30 percent increase from the June 30, 2010, inventory of 7,112 homes.
The association attributed the decline in home sales to overly high sales in the first half of 2010 because of the Homebuyer Tax Credit. The average selling price for the first half of 2011 was $160,444, little changed from the first half of 2010, when it was $161,666.
The number of houses sold reached a monthly high for the year in June 2011, with 1,137 sold.

Some of the home’s features did end up more expensive than they otherwise would have been, so Ginsburg looked to cut costs in other areas: the floor is uncovered concrete, there’s no tile in the bathrooms and countertops don’t have granite.
“Those things can always be changed,” Ginsburg said at an open house event he hosted Friday.
